If youre coming to Kalispell for our wedding weekend (June 13–14, 2026), we highly recommend carving out time to explore the breathtaking Glacier National Park—just under an hour’s drive from town! (fun fact: our engagement pictures were taken on going-to-the-sun road!)
Popular Trails to Check Out:
Hidden Lake Overlook (from Logan Pass): A moderate hike with stunning alpine views and frequent mountain goat sightings.
Avalanche Lake: A family-friendly trail through lush forest ending at a serene lake surrounded by waterfalls.
Highline Trail: For adventurous hikers, this iconic trail offers dramatic cliffside views and wildflower-filled meadows.
Grinnell Glacier (in Many Glacier): A spectacular hike to one of the park’s remaining glaciers—note that access may be limited due to seasonal construction.
Park Entry Details: To enter Glacier National Park during peak hours (7 AM–3 PM) between June 13 and September 28, you’ll need:
An entrance pass — $35 per vehicle, valid for 7 days. You can purchase this online or at the park gate.
A timed-entry reservation — Required for popular areas like the West Glacier entrance and Going-to-the-Sun Road. These can be booked in advance through Recreation.gov.
If you’ve booked a guided activity (like a boat tour or horseback ride), lodging, or camping within the park, that counts as your timed-entry reservation.
Pro Tip: The park does not accept cash, so be sure to bring a card for any purchases.
